We have raised, hand fed, and sold lovebirds for years. We started with two original Peachfaced lovebirds, Bebe and Gimpy that we originally purchased from a breeder. We soon found that we deeply enjoyed spending time with these affectionate and amazing little birds. After a while we noticed that Gimpy had some preexisting conditions that we tried to cure with the help of our Vet. Unfortunately, we couldn’t help him and he passed away after about a year.  That left Bebe alone. At that point, we decided that we wanted to find another partner for her, enter Little Man. Little Man not only bonded with Bebe but he also bonded with us, he is momma’s (and Daddy’s) Little Man. Because of our success with our new pairing, we thought it might be nice if they had some other lovebirds to play with when they were out of their cage. The rest is history. Many of our new lovebird playmates, including some newer Fisher Lovebirds, paired off and started breeding on their own terms. This has resulted in many beautiful and sweet babies. We can't keep them all even though we would love to.

 

All of our birds are very healthy and loving. They go to regular visits to a Veterinarian vet specializing in birds. They are out of their cages for hours for exercise and socialization on a daily basis. They get an abundance of organic fresh fruits and veggies (although they aren’t huge fans of the fruits) and are thriving on a daily diet of Roudybush Maintenance brand bird food.
